About us
We are enthusiastic paddlers and have been active in packrafting for many years. As professional pilots, we travel a lot in Europe and around the world for work and the packraft has developed into a hobby that is always in our suitcases due to its low weight and unbeatable pack size.
We love to do sports in nature and combine hiking and cycling with paddling. We regularly discover new places/rivers/lakes/mountain streams. The perspective from the water is always particularly appealing to us.
Our special philosophy
We have turned our hobby into a profession (a vocation) and are proud to have helped shape the development of packrafting in Germany and around the world with our designs and innovations. With our clever designs and high-quality rafts, we hope to take the sport to the next level and get even more people interested in packrafting.
We particularly enjoy personal contact with our customers and are open to criticism, requests and recommendations, because our customers and fellow paddlers play an important role in the further development of our products and the sport in general. We regularly get in touch with you at various events, courses and safety training sessions and enjoy spending time together on and around the water.
We love to develop the sport further, design our own packrafts, test them and share our ideas and packraft experiences with you. Over the past few years, we have built up a wealth of know-how that flows into every one of our developments.
This is also our greatest competitive advantage over other manufacturers.
We can also respond very specifically to customer wishes in terms of design/equipment and even shape and thus tailor the packraft to our customers! Because when it comes to choosing the right packraft, a good fit and safety on the water, we don't compromise!

Why Current-Raft?
Our Packrafts impress with their reliably good handling characteristics, high load capacity, high-quality workmanship and clever design tailored to our customers!
We draw on our many years of experience in water sports and rely on high-quality materials with a low weight and small pack size.
The standard yellow-blue color looks natural, is easy to see on the water and does not heat up excessively in summer.
Our packrafts are carefully crafted, additionally thermo-welded and extensively checked for defects before being shipped to you. We do without unnecessary extras
and therefore keep it simple, practical and inexpensive for our customers.
Our opinion on the TZIP:
Many manufacturers have now fitted this as standard on all models. However, we only use it deliberately on some models. This is because a TZIP storage system is not automatically worthwhile for most customers in Europe. The following points should be noted:
A TZIP is high-maintenance, sensitive to dirt and, as a result, often leaks. It is usually not possible to replace it at home. We therefore only recommend the TZIP storage system for longer tours and expeditions, as normal luggage for a weekend trip can easily be stored on the front of the Packraft. There it does not restrict the driving characteristics and is accessible without letting air out of the packraft.
